MILTON, Fla. (AP) - A Santa Rosa County man is accused of leading a multi-state dog fighting ring.
Raymond Teamer of Milton has been arrested after a search of his property found remains of animals and 35 dogs, many that had wounds consistent with dog fighting.
The sheriff's office says he used his 10-acre property to breed pit bull dogs for fighting in multiple states.
Officers also seized records, trophies and other items they say document Teamer's activities, which includes breeding, selling and fighting dogs.
Teamer has been charged with 35 felony counts of possession of fighting dogs. Additional charges may be filed. The dogs are at the Santa Rosa County Animal Shelter.
