ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) _ Officials say two Rochester Institute of
Technology students, including one from Florida, have died in a fire at an off-campus house.
University officials say one of the students killed was from New Jersey. The other was 21-year-old Seth Policzer of Parkland, Florida. He was in his fourth year in computer engineering at the school.
Three other RIT students escaped the blaze. One body was found on the first floor and another on an upper floor. A university spokesman says the injured student does not appear to have life-threatening injuries.
The Rochester Fire Department says the early morning fire may have started in a bedroom.
The tragedy comes as RIT inaugurates its new president this afternoon.
