NEWARK, N.J. (AP) _ Officials say authorities are investigating a possible gas leak after part of a Newark Liberty International Airport terminal had to be evacuated because of a strong odor.
A spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says people in a section of the terminal noticed an odor they thought smelled like natural gas.
Authorities say emergency workers treated 11 people complaining of symptoms related to the smell, including one person who fainted.
One person was taken to a hospital.
Some arriving flights were diverted to another part of the terminal, but officials say the evacuation did not affect flight schedules.
