So where do all the things that people lose at the airport go?
According to Miami International Airport no luggage is ever really lost if it doesn't find it's way to you after that plane trip, just misplaced.
Miami International Airport held its semi-annual public auction today and hundreds of items misplaced at the airport for more than 60 days were auctioned at bargain prices.
The auction included hundreds of unclaimed bags, laptops, cell phones, digital cameras, musical instruments, jewelry, toys, artwork, personal items and more.
Some of the items were lost and never claimed.
Others were left behind when passengers had to fly, and couldn't afford to carry them on the plane.
