HUDSON, Fla. (AP) _ Authorities say a gunshot penetrated a Hudson mobile home and wounded an 11-year-old girl.
Pasco County Sheriff's Office spokesman Doug Tobin says the girl was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital by her father. She was treated and released.
Authorities say that on Saturday afternoon, a group of adults was shooting at chickens about 40 yards away from the girl's mobile home. A shot entered the mobile home and hit her.
Authorities also say they plan to refer the case to the state attorney's office for possible culpable negligence charges.
