TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ An infant is in critical condition at a Tampa hospital after being thrown from a pickup truck that crashed on Interstate 4.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 17-day-old Nicolas Garcia was with five others in the car that lost control when a tire blew out yesterday afternoon. The truck rolled over and Nicolas was thrown from the car while still fastened in an infant car seat.
Some of the passengers were riding in the bed of the truck. Some were seriously injured.
The driver, Ruben Bravo, was arrested at the hospital and charged with driving with a suspended license. He was released from jail this morning after posting bail.
