ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (AP) _ Former Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus
Pyle has been arrested a second time in St. Johns County for
failing to properly register as a sex offender.
Authorities say he 59-year-old, whose real name is Thomas Delmer
Pyle, was arrested yesterday at one of three addresses he gave to
county authorities. He is being held in jail on $50,000 bond.
His recent arrest was the result of not registering a new
permanent address. Authorities say the address on Pyle's driver's
license no longer belongs to the musician.
Pyle was free on $10,000 bond after being arrested on the same
charge November 19th.
Pyle pleaded guilty in 1993 to charges of attempted capital
sexual battery by an adult on a victim younger than 12 and
principal to lewd and lascivious on a child younger than 16. The
charges involved two Jacksonville Beach sisters.
