who said she was stabbed in the stomach by an attacker, actually
Authorities say Sergeant Lisa Disavino initially claimed a "suspicious'' person stabbed her at a bus stop Sunday and then ran away. She was taken to the hospital and released hours later.
But BSO spokesman Elliot Cohen said yesterday that Disavino's wounds were self-inflicted. He said she was going through some
personal problems and the agency would help her deal with them.
Disavino, who a seven-year veteran of the force, will not be criminally charged.
