Over Three Million Immigrants in Florida

UNDATED (AP) _ Nearly 3.5 million immigrants are living in Florida. That's according to a report by the Center for Immigration Studies that says at least one million of those immigrants are here illegally.

The number of immigrants is up from 2.9 million in 2000, a 16.7% increase from 2000 to 2007. According to the report, the state has one of the fastest-growing immigrant populations.

The data was collected by the Census Bureau in March 2007.

The center advocates strict immigration limits.
