Kidnapping Suspect Arrested

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) Florida authorities say they have arrested
a man suspected of kidnapping his girlfriend from a suburban
Atlanta shopping center.

Jackson County, Fla., Sheriff's officials say 39-year-old
Anthony Robbins was taken into custody late Wednesday after he
dropped 41-year-old Lisa Ambrose off at a hospital in the north
Florida county.

Cobb County, Ga., police say Robbins confronted Ambrose in a
parking lot about lunchtime Wednesday. Police say he stabbed her
and forced her into her car.

Authorities say a retired police officer saw the incident and
tried to stop Robbins by shooting at the vehicle. Police say
Robbins drove her down into the Florida panhandle before taking
Ambrose to a hospital.

She is listed in critical condition.

Robbins is in the hospital with a gunshot wound, but police were
not clear on when he was shot.

Wednesday. Police say he stabbed her and forced into her car.

Authorities say he drove her down into the Florida panhandle
before taking her to a hospital.

Cobb County authorities say a woman kidnapped from a local shopping center Wednesday afternoon has been found in a north Florida hospital.

Police said her abductor remains at large.

41-year-old Lisa Ambrose of Kennesaw was stabbed and forced into her car. She was listed in critical condition at a hospital in Marianna, Florida.

Officers have been looking for 39-year-old Anthony Robbins, also of Kennesaw.

Investigators said the kidnapping occurred at about 12:30 p.m. at a strip mall on Barrett Parkway.

Robbins is believed to be driving the victim's silver 2006 Mazda 6 with Georgia license plate 2QL.
