ATLANTA (AP) Police discovered a Riverdale woman dead after
her husband text-messaged his sister that he may have killed his

Montay Lee Merritt is being held without bond on charges of
murder in the death of 38-year-old Alesha Merritt.

Clayton County police found the body Saturday after Monica
Edwards told them she'd received a text message.

Police say the message read: "Monica, plz call me! I thk I
killed Lisa.''

Police say Merritt went on to say he choked the woman and left
her on the floor.

Officer Sonja Sanchez says the couple argued after a night of
drinking Friday because Merritt had gotten another woman pregnant.

    this is very sad. montay you did not have to kill lisa. you have taken her away from her children and granchildren how will you ever live with youself.
