DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - An 18-year-old man was shot and killed at a beachside motel during Spring Break, authorities said.
Authorities say Lance David Ulland was shot once in the head at 3:30 a.m. Sunday after he opened the door to his motel room.
Police arrested 27-year-old Matthew Castro shortly after.
A jail official says Castro was charged with homicide first degree and was being held without bail Sunday night at the Volusia County Branch Jail.
The motive for the shooting was not immediately known.
Authorities say Ulland recently moved to Kissimmee area from Minnesota and was staying at the motel with his cousin.
It was not immediately known if Castro had an attorney.
