KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) --Authorities say the jail foiled a second escape attempt by inmate Carlos Rosa on Thursday.
A corrections officer had overheard a conversation in Spanish between Rosa and another inmate. Rosa said he had a tool that would
let him unlock his handcuffs. A bent metal staple was found hidden
in a bar of soap in Rosa's cell.
Rosa now faces a contraband charge.
He had successfully escaped from the jail last month but was
caught a day later.
Rosa was the second inmate to escape from the jail this year. In
February, a gang member escaped from the jail. Michael Rigbby is
still on the loose.
