Deputy Crashes While Responding to Call

BRANDON, Fla. (AP) -- A Hillsborough County deputy was injured when he crashed his cruiser while responding to a false 911 call.

The sheriff's office reports that Deputy Heyden Ayure crashed in
the yard of a Brandon home just after midnight Friday. He was taken
to a Tampa hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.

Deputies tracked down the cell phone that made the 911 call, but
the owner said someone else had used to phone.

The sheriff's office is investigating the cause of the crash.
