ATLANTA (AP) -- Atlanta area thieves seem to want more than the
money inside ATMs. They want the whole machine.
Atlanta police told WSB television station that for the second
time in two days thieve tried to steal an ATM.
This time they were unsuccessful.
One day after an ATM was stolen from Midtown Wash, a vehicle
rammed into an ATM at Amsterdam and North Highland avenues early
Sunday morning. The thieves knocked over the machine but were
unable to escape with it. WSB reported that the thieves were last
seen fleeing in a stolen Chevrolet Avalanche.
No one has been arrested.
