PANAMA CITY, Fla. (AP) -- A Florida Panhandle man has pleaded no
contest to participating in the murder and robbery of a 75-year-old
man.
Toriano Grant pleaded to second-degree murder and armed robbery
on Monday. The 25-year-old Marianna man is scheduled to be
sentenced June 21.
Authorities say Grant, 21-year-old Kendrick Brown, 23-year-old
Willie Lloyd and 22-year-old Joshua Pullum lured Alfred Delk
outside of his Cottondale home in September 2009. They then beat
him with a piece of concrete and robbed him of $22.
The other three men were previously convicted of principal to
robbery with a deadly weapon. Brown and Pullum have been sentenced
to 30 years, and Lloyd awaits sentencing.
