Cash Register Theft
AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities are looking for a masked man who
stole a cash register from an Augusta gas station Monday morning.
Authorities say it happened around 3:17 a.m. at Greg's Gas Plus
along Edgefield Road. An employee tells police the thief broke out
a store window with a hammer and demanded money.
When he couldn't get it, the employee tells police the man
grabbed a cash register and ran.
Officers recovered the register and the money in an abandoned
apartment nearby.
