PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) --
The U.S. Border Patrol and police say 18 men and women are in custody after apparently being brought to shore illegally on a boat in Palm Beach.
The group, including five people from Haiti and 13 believed to
be from China, were taken into custody on Wednesday.
Palm Beach police say security staff at a condominium building
spotted the men and women walking on to the beach and notified
authorities. Police found them in a vacant lot.
Investigators are looking for the person who piloted the boat.
