CANTON, Ga. (AP) -- Cherokee County police charged four men they
believe are linked to a counterfeit ring that produced fake Social
Security cards and other documents.
Cherokee County Sheriff's investigators arrested 23-year-old
Virginio Josue Jeronimo-Mejia, 34-year-old Edilzar David
Jeronimo-Diaz, 32-year-old Marcos Juan Baltazar-Pedro and
32-year-old Sebastian Simon-Manuel Wednesday. All four were charged
with multiple counts of second-degree forgery.
The arrests came after a June 2 investigation of an apartment
uncovered counterfeit driver's licenses, Social Security cards and
Resident Alien cards being made.
At a Canton home, investigators say they found computers,
printers, $400 in cash and counterfeit documents.
None of the men had listed phone numbers.
