TAMPA, Fla. (AP) --
Authorities say a boy playing with matches started a fire that caused thousands of dollars in damage to two Tampa homes.

According to Tampa Fire Rescue, Ebony Fulks' young son started
the Wednesday afternoon blaze. Officials believe the 8-year-old boy
set a mattress on fire. The mattress was outside the home, leaning
against the residence.

Fulks' home and a neighboring house were both damaged in the
incident. No one was injured.
