WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- A woman left a quadriplegic after
her ex-husband hired hit men to kill her has prevailed in a court fight to get a $1 million insurance policy purchased on her life.

Heather Grossman, who lived in Boca Raton at the time of the attack on her, but now lives in Arizona, was awarded the policy Friday. She said she was overjoyed.

Ronald Samuels is serving a life prison sentence for arranging
the 1997 shooting of his ex-wife.

Grossman and her family plan to use money from cashing in the
policy for her round-the-clock care.
