DELAND, Fla. (AP) -- Two women were reportedly attacked by two
dogs outside their DeLand home.
The women, both 20, told Volusia County deputies that they had
just left their home shortly after midnight Monday when they were
attacked but what appeared to be pit bulls.
The dogs, which came from around the side of the house,
initially bit them on their legs, hands and arms. As they struggled
and fell to the ground, the dogs also bit them on the face.
The eventually escaped by getting into their house through a
rear door. The were both taken to a nearby hospital.
The dogs ran off and were not immediately found.
