PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (AP) -- A homemade plane crash-landed at a
Charlotte County airport after the landing gear came off.
The sheriff's office reports that 61-year-old Frank Schooley was
trying to land his single-engine plane Sunday afternoon. When the
landing gear hit the ground, it ripped off and caused the plane to

treatment at the scene.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
