WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) -- A central Florida woman has been
sentenced to 20 years in prison for her part in a robbery that left
an elderly man dead.
A judge sentenced 21-year-old Octayvia Ingram this week after
she pleaded no contest to second-degree murder and burglary.
Authorities say 86-year-old Julio Rosario was killed after
interrupting a burglary at his apartment in 2007. A piece of his
jewelry was pawned about four hours later, and investigators
tracked it back to Ingram and her boyfriend, Michael Hayward.
Hayward has already been sentenced to 50 years in prison for
second-degree murder.
Charges were dropped against a third man initially suspected in
the killing.
