Four Officers Shot

CUTLER BAY, Fla. (AP) - The manhunt continues for a gunman who shot four Miami-Dade police officers, killing one of them.

Mayor Carlos Alvarez has confirmed that one of the officers died. All four had been taken to hospitals, but authorities refuse to release further information on them.

Investigators are looking for Kevin Wehner, the suspect shooter, who was last seen driving a white Honda Accord. A police spokeswoman says there may be another man involved in the shooting.

The officers originally were conducting burglary surveillance when they stopped the man because he was driving a car erratically. He then opened fire. It's not clear if the officers returned fire.

Officers are seen on live television coverage scouring the area of Cutler Bay, a suburb southwest of downtown Miami.
