MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Two men have been charged in the fatal shooting of a Russian man at a Miami Beach hotel.
Miami Beach police arrested 25-year-old Duran Reed and
21-year-old Turaine Depri Burgess on Thursday. Both men have been charged with second degree murder and armed robbery.
Police say 38-year-old Roman Gubanov, of Tver, Russia, and a
friend approached the suspects the day before the shooting looking to buy cocaine.
The following day Reed and Burgess arrived at the victim's room
at the Miami Beach Resort & Spa. Police say they left and quickly
returned, forcing their way in and stealing $500 cash and a camera.
Police say Gubanov tried to stop the men and was shot in the
chest.
The men are being held without bond.
