ATLANTA (AP) -- A 38-year-old Sandy Springs woman who
firefighters recently pulled from chest-high debris in her home has
died.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner's says Mary Minter died of
alcoholic liver disease. Authorities took her to the hospital
Saturday after getting an anonymous 911 call.
It took firefighters 40 minutes to wade through piles of debris
June 22 to rescue Minter from her home in the Cherokee Park
neighborhood. Fire officials say the responders later were
decontaminated.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Minter was CEO and
secretary of the Minter Family Foundation.
The newspaper reports that public records show she had been
slapped with multiple federal and state tax liens.
