Banner Plane Crashes After Takeoff; No Injuries

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (AP) -- The pilot of a banner plane is uninjured after crashing shortly after takeoff.

The plane departed Saturday afternoon from North Perry Airport in Pembroke Pines. Kathleen Bergen, a spokeswoman with the Federal
Aviation Administration, says the plane crashed into a field where
planes pick up their banners.

The pilot was the sole occupant.

FAA records indicate the plane is registered to Van Wagner Aerial Media, an outdoor advertising company.
