A closely-watched blog on U.S. Cuba policy is reporting this morning that some sort of travel announcement is expected soon out of the White House. The blog “United States Cuba Policy and Business Blog,” reports that Democrats had urged the White House back in August not to broadly open up travel to Cuba because electoral fears. But there are plans now to update current travel regulations, “expanding travel for academic and religious purposes as well (as expanding) the number of U.S. airports that can provide charter flights to Cuba,” reported the blog, which backs broader access to Cuba for Americans.
