COCOA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities have confirmed that a body found 12 miles off Florida's Space Coast is that of a kayaker who had been reported missing.

Michael Alexander disappeared Oct. 13. A fisherman found his
body on Thursday off Cocoa Beach.

A cause of death has not been determined, but investigators do
not suspect foul play. Alexander owned a dental clinic in Melbourne. His girlfriend reported him missing a day after he went kayaking from a park north of Satellite Beach.

Rescuers searched nearly 3,000 square miles before calling off the search on Sunday.
