Orlando, FL - October 1, 2012 - Only one of the Marching 100 members accused in drum major Robert Champion's death will stand trial this month.

A spokesman with the state attorney's office, Julio Semino, says Bryan Jones will stand trial on October 22nd. He is facing a felony charge of hazing causing death.

Semino says the trials for eleven other defendants have been postponed. There is a status hearing in those cases on March 1, 2013.

We are trying to reach Jones's lawyer for comment.

Orlando, FL - September 26, 2012 - The FAMU marching 100 members accused in the hazing death of Robert Champion are set to go to trial next month.

A final pre-trial hearing was held this morning in Orlando. The case is being tried there because Champion was beaten aboard a band bus after the Florida Classic in November 2011.

We are still trying to reach the clerk and the prosecutor to find out what happened in court today. The trial is set for October 8th.
