DeKalb Police Seek 16-Year-Old Escapee

DECATUR, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities have captured a 16-year-old
charged with murder they say escaped from the DeKalb Regional Youth Detention Center in Decatur.

Juvenile Justice spokeswoman Scheree Moore tells the Savannah
Morning News Dwayne McCloud was captured around 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Decatur. Moore says staff noticed McCloud was missing during a 5 a.m. headcount at the detention center.

Moore says authorities don't know when or how he escaped.

McCloud is accused of murder in the Jan. 8 shooting of 78-year-old John Green.

He was indicted on murder and robbery charges April 13 along
with 16-year-old Trevonte Edwards and 18-year-old Darrell Golden.

The three are accused of robbing and shooting Green outside a
convenience store after he asked a cashier to break a $100 bill.
