GOP Senate Candidate Says Politicians Have Failed

Tallahassee, FL (AP) - U.S. Senate candidate Craig Miller says
Washington needs more businessmen making decisions instead of
career politicians.

The retired restaurant executive from Winter Park told news editors attending the annual legislative session planning session hosted by The Associated Press that there are not enough champions for free enterprise in the U.S. Senate. Miller also pledged Wednesday that he'd serve just two terms if he becomes the nominee and goes on to defeat U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson in November.

Another GOP hopeful, retired Army Col. Mike McCalister, created
some buzz and several questions with his insistence that communism may be regaining a foothold in the U.S.
McCalister and Miller agreed that if voters want a politician in Washington, then they're not likely to prevail. The other three
Republican hopefuls did not attend.

The last thing this nation needs to have is all of Congress replaced with business people. Their first bill to be passed will be the elimination of our present democratically elected republic then they will turn it into a corporate totalitarian nation that will make the leader of Iran look benevelent. And you think that politicians are unwilling to compromise, how do you expect competing business leaders to agree when it cuts into their personal profits? Amen kathy & Dale.

Politicians haven't failed. They intend to enrich themselves, and they have accomplished that goal 100%--just as in any business--the goal is to enrich ones self. Profit is God in America--get used to it,

in reply to god bless america. correction, the republicans have failed the everyday working americans as usual. They won't spend a dime unless it means a 1000 percent return to their pockets and I mean theirs only! Same thing going on in Florida! Get rid of the republican businessmen politicians and put some farmers, laborers, anyone who works hard for a living in this country and it could get turned around and on the track to a better life for everyone, not just the elite rich!

why so they can get more rich off the working class, middle class tax payer. make big corps. and rich get their way, and control the tax paying ppl with little or nothing to say about their goverment. business ppl need to keep their nose out of trying to control this goverment. they need to be taxed, or hire ppl,and quit pocketing the profits

Of course he'll only serve two terms -that's all the time he needs to make himself and his buddies rich, then return to business to exploit all those new loopholes he opened up for himself to get even richer. Don't be fooled, the thieves are as bad as the politicians!

We do not need any big businessmen in government. We need more every-day folks in government like nurses, law enforcement, retail workers, local small business owners, ect. Those are your average Americans and I feel they would put the interest of the PEOPLE first.
