KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) -- A 21-year-old driver has been charged with
vehicular homicide and DUI in the death of one of his passengers.
Police say Herve Hanyurwimfura of Roswell is being held in the
Cobb County jail. Police say Hanyurwimfura drove his car off an
I-575 ramp early Friday morning, careening down an embankment into
trees.
Police say the crash killed 19-year-old Lawrence Ogunnowo of
Lawrenceville and injured 22-year-old Franklyn Isibor of Roswell
and 21-year-old Thierry Damon Hart of Wilmington, N.C.
Authorities say Isibor and Hart were taken to the hospital with
non-critical injuries.
Hanyurwimfura, a native of Rwanda, is also charged with reckless
driving, speeding, failure to maintain lane, driving through a
highway median, no tags and no seat belt.
