GAINESVILLE, FL 11/30/2011 -- Alachua Sheriff's Office spokesman Todd Kelly says 36-year-old Robert Matthew Judah died Tuesday while undergoing follow-up surgery. He had been in the hospital since Oct. 21 when a man fired his gun in an attempt to get Judah and other skeet shooters to stop.

A Gainesville newspaper reports that the men were shooting outside Forest Grove Baptist Church when Judah was hit. Officials say 71-year-old Patrick Allan McCall fired his gun from his home across the street from the church.

Officials say McCall was arrested following a brief standoff. He was charged with committing a felony that could cause death. There was no word on additional charges.
