The man convicted in the 19-88 Pan Am 103 bombing is apparently in a coma and near death.
The father of J.P. Flynn, a victim of the bombing over Scotland, reacted to the new developments.
"I'm not unbelievably disappointed in that. Ok, if the man's dying I have to have some sympathy for that and he had a family and everything. I understand that and he was ordered to do that. Ok. He was told to do that. He was just a person who followed orders from Mr. Gadhafi. And that's what he did. I would like to see him back in prison with Gadhafi but if he dies in Libya I'm not having a heart attack about that and I would hope though that now the key people in Libya get information where we can pursue prosecuting Megrahi as the person who ordered the bombing of Pan Am 103."
Al-Megrahi was released in 2009 after doctors gave him three months to live. He may be the last man alive who knows 'who' in the Libyan government authorized that bombing.
