MIAMI, FL 12/14/2011 -- Any movement could have brought that vehicle down to the ground, maybe flipped.

A cop car teetering on the brink of disaster. This unusual scene leaving people puzzled and knocking out power to those in the area.

Maurepas Louis heard the crash, "Big crash. After that, I don't see nothing. No light, no nothing."

A Miami police cruiser up a light pole, hanging by a string, or more accurately, a tension wire. Those living near the corner of 69th St. and Northwest 6th Ave couldn't believe their eyes.

Donovan French lives in the neighborhood, "I never seen nothing like this except like on video games. I done ran the car up a pole, but no not in real life."

"He was actually picking up the pen that he had dropped when he stopped paying full attention to the roadway and he started veering off to the side," said Detective Willie Moreno

The power was restored a few hours after the accident.

Wow and they say that cops pay attention to the road. I have seen cops on the phone, texting, eating and looking everywhere but the right way. I wonder what he would have had to say if a child or someone would have gotten hurt.
