Poll: Mitt Romney Leads Barack Obama in Florida

Mitt Romney has gone from a six point deficit against President Obama in March to a 47-41 point lead. The poll also finds that if Romney were to pick Florida US Senator Marco Rubio as his running mate, the pick would add two points to Romney’s lead. Peter Brown of Quinnipiac says Obama lost both men and women voters who believe Romney will do a better job handling the economy.

“Women went from strong Obama to even. Men went from even to strong Romney. Don’t look at it as what changed women. It’s what changed voters. What changed voters is a cap on economic optimism. Romney clinched the nomination, Republicans came home," says Quinnipiac University Pollster Peter Brown.

Most Floridians do not believe the Gay marriage issue is important in deciding their vote. To win, Brown says Obama must win independents, turn out you voters and turn out black voters in the same or larger numbers than four years ago.

Romney and Scott must be promising jobs to all of you who are with voting for this man and the corruption these republicans are getting you dummies to follow them behind. If they haven't given out you a job you better wake up before you get your feelings hurt. If the republicans promising jobs to all his voters and followers, then I will support him too. But where is his job plans to put people back to work, and he can prove to us he is the man for this job he trying to get so bad?

We elected Rick Scott, the worst governor in history. Look at what he has done to Florida. Will America do this again on a National level, and elect someone even worse? If she does, then God help us all.

You are not a logical thinker! Bain Capital purchased companines that were headed for bankruptcy and more than 80% improved and workers retained their jobs. Some companies fail and some survive and that is called CAPITALISM. You must work for the almighty govt., where you always get your paycheck from the taxpayer, because you don't understand the basics of private companies.

If you want the country to go back where we were 4 years ago, then vote for Romney. People can say what they want. The country is much better off. That is a fact!

Obama has been Prez for 3 years and 4 months. Perhaps it's time for you to learn to spell his name. The primary school desegregation decision, Brown vs. Board of Education, was decided by the SCOTUS 58 years ago this month. Is anybody in this blog responsible for the segregated school systems which preceded that decision, or for white resistance to that decision? Nixon ran successfully in 1968 using the Southern strategy. Reagan winked at white Southern racists by giving his first post convention speech in MS, in the county where 3 civil rights activists had been murdered in 1964. Without white racism, the Republican Party would be dead.

@ Anonymous What the bleep are you talking about with your comments that are NOT true towards people in the Republican Party. You need to research FACTS about history and racism. Rev. Martin L. King Sr. of Ebenezer Church in Atlanta and his son Dr. Martin L. King were both Republicans along with his close civil rights leaders in the sixties. Did you know VP AL Gore's father, a Democrat from Tenn., voted against the Civil Rights Act. Did you know the Democrats in the House voted 61% for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 compared to 80% Republicans who voted for the same bill. Did you know the Democrats in the Senate voted 69% for the Civil Rights Act compared to 82% Republican. Pres. LBJ in his speech when signing the Civil Rights Act thanked ONLY the Republicans for their "overwhelming majority vote." All southern Democrats voted AGAINST the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Gov. of Alabma was George Wallace a Democrat who loathed his rivalry Pres. Nixon and his viewpoints. The comment about Reagan being a racist with a wink is just disgusting and without truth or merit. Learn anything as you try to rewrite history and the southern Democrats?

Without the Democratic Party, white racism would have died over 100 years ago. You really need to study history a little more.
