Protest Held Outside Marco Rubio's Office

DORAL, FL -- Some Floridians are not happy with Senator Marco Rubio.

About a hundred folks demonstrated outside the Republican senator's office in Doral -- a day after he voted against the president's job plan.

The 447-billion-dollar bill failed to get the 60 votes needed to proceed.
The bill included a tax increase on the wealthy, an expansion of a current payroll tax cut and an extension of jobless benefits, among other things.

Rubio says he opposed the bill because it was nearly identical to President Obama's first job-creation effort, which he says failed miserably.

The protest was organized by the group "One-Miami." The group says Rubio has no real solution for the state's economic problems.

The New York Times in an editorial said the 46 Republican "no" votes on Obama's jobs bill were "economic vandalism." The Republican plan is tax cuts for the rich. That's always the Republican plan. Whatever ails you, the remedy is tax cuts for the rich. War? Peace? Global warming? Bubonic plague? The solution is tax cuts for the rich. The rich use the tax cuts to convince ignorant, inbred whites that public schoolteachers and poor blacks are responsible for all of society's ills.

Great job Senator. This is some of the same old, rehashed trash presented by the Democrats before. Temporary jobs at the cost of $200,000.00 apiece? Only a fool would have voted for it...
