Sandusky Jailed After He Is Unable to Pay Bail

State College, PA (AP) - Jerry Sandusky has been taken to a
Pennsylvania county jail after being unable to post $250,000 bail
in cash.

The former Penn State assistant coach was jailed Wednesday after
a brief court hearing.

Sandusky faces new charges based on the testimony of two new
accusers, including one who claims Sandusky molested him numerous times in a basement bedroom at Sandusky's home. He already faced 40 counts of child sex abuse involving eight young boys over a 15-year span.

Sandusky lawyer Joseph Amendola says his client maintains his
innocence.

Senior Magisterial District Judge Robert E. Scott said if Sandusky does make bail, he will be under house arrest and subject
to electronic monitoring.

Prosecutors had sought $1 million in bail.

Sandusky Ordered to Pay $250K Bond on New Charges

State College, PA (AP) - A judge has ordered Jerry Sandusky
jailed unless he can pay $250,000 bail on the latest child sex
abuse charges against him.

Senior Magisterial District Judge Robert E. Scott also said
Wednesday that if Sandusky posts bail, he must submit to electronic
monitoring. It was not immediately clear if Sandusky was to be
released.

Prosecutors had sought $1 million in bail.

Sandusky faces new charges based on the testimony of two new
accusers, including one who claims Sandusky molested him numerous times in a basement bedroom.

Sandusky wore blue sweat pants and a gray sweat shirt to the
hearing. He was arrested at his home by state police and driven to
the magistrate.

Sandusky's lawyer has not responded to the latest charges.
Sandusky has said he is innocent.

Sandusky Arrested on New Sex Abuse Charges

State College, PA (AP) - Ex-Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky has
been arrested on new sex abuse charges brought by two new accusers

Authorities say Sandusky was arrested and arraigned Wednesday.

The charges were brought after the new accusers were questioned
by a grand jury. Both alleged victims were part of Sandusky's
Second Mile charity. One claims he was assaulted in 1997 and the
other in 2004.

A call seeking comment from Sandusky's lawyer, Joseph Amendola,
was not immediately returned.
