Douglasville, GA -- April 24, 2012 --

A Douglas County judge has accepted a guilty plea in the November 2010 stomping death of teen Bobby Tillman.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Emanuel Boykins pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole Tuesday. He would be eligible for parole after serving 30 years.

The 18-year-old Tillman was beaten to death in front of a Douglasville house where two teenage girls were throwing a party. He died from a tear to his heart that happened during the beating.

Boykins, Tracen Franklin, Quantez Devonta Mallory and Horace Damon Coleman, were all charged in the killing. According to Kimberly Coleman, an attorney who works with Bruce Harvey, Franklin's lawyer, Franklin faces the death penalty.

Lawyers: Teen Agrees to Guilty plea in party death

[UPDATE] 6-7-2011

Douglasville, GA (AP) - Lawyers say an 18-year-old who
prosecutors say threw the first punch in a brawl at a Douglasville
party that left a teenager dead has agreed to plead guilty to a
felony murder charge.

Douglas County District Attorney tells The Atlanta
Journal-Constitution that Emanuel Boykin has agreed to the plea in
the death of 18-year-old Bobby Tillman. Boykins' lawyer Jason
Swindle says his client decided to agree to plead guilty June 29 to
avoid a trial where he would risk the death penalty.

The cases against three other men charged in Tillman's beating
death are still pending.

Authorities say the attackers apparently targeted Tillman after
one of the suspects was hit by a woman at the Nov. 6 party and
vowed to strike the next man who passed by.

[UPDATE] 11-10-2010 7:40AM --

Three of four suspects charged with murder in the stomping death of an 18-year-old in a shocking unprovoked attack at a house party have told reporters they are innocent.

The three spoke yesterday with Atlanta television stations about
the death of Bobby Tillman. Authorities say he was killed in
Douglas County, west of Atlanta, when about 80 people descended
Saturday night on the house party near Chapel Hill High School,
Tillman's alma mater.

The fourth suspect declined to be interviewed.

The coroner says injuries as severe as Tillman's are rare except
in automobile wrecks, and he believes a lacerated heart led to his
death. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation performed the autopsy.

Friends of Tillman's gathered last night and remembered him as a
good influence and savvy dresser.

[UPDATE] 11-9 1:20PM --

The Douglas County coroner says a teenager killed at a party died as a result of his heart being lacerated while he was being kicked and stomped.

Coroner Randy Daniel said Tuesday that 18-year-old Bobby
Tillman's heart was cut during the beating early Sunday, probably
by a broken bone.

Daniel says the heart laceration caused Tillman to lose a lot of
blood very quickly.

Four other teens who attended the party are charged with murder
and are being held without bond at the Douglas County Jail.
