Court records show that Ebony Butler entered a no contest plea last week to manslaughter in the shooting death of Kevin Kitchens.
Court records show she was sentenced to 20 years in prison followed by 10 years on probation.
Prosecutor David Marsey called the sentence "substantial." Marsey says both sides decided on a plea deal after a witness said he saw Kitchens striking or dragging Butler that night. It's a statement that could have buttressed her self defense claims in the eyes of a jury, Marsey said.

A Tallahassee woman has been indicted for murder more than 18 months after the crime.
This week, a Leon County grand jury indicted Ebony Butler of first degree murder in the shooting death of 27 year old Kevin Kitchens.
Kitchens' body was found next to his truck on the side of Whirlaway Trail in Killearn Acres back in July 2008.
His murder was unsolved for more than a year and just last month detectives were able to finger Butler as the trigger-woman.
They say DNA evidence placed her inside Kitchen's truck and cell phone records indicated she was in the area at the time of the murder.
