Man Convicted of Killing Sister, Another Woman
Brooksville, FL (AP) - A Tampa Bay area man already serving a life sentence for killing a Dixie County deputy has been convicted of killing his sister and another woman during the same 2010 shooting rampage.
A Hernando County jury found 57-year-old John Kalisz guilty Monday of two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of armed burglary. He faces a possible death sentence.
Authorities say Kalisz killed his sister, Kathryn Donovan, and her office manager, Deborah Tillotsonand, and wounded two others at a Brooksville home in January 2010. He killed Dixie County sheriff's Capt. Chad Reed in a shootout later the same day in Cross City.
Kalisz pleaded guilty to killing the deputy last year, avoiding the death penalty then as part of a deal.
