The suspected triggerman in a Tallahassee shooting surrenders and jail may be the "safest" place for him right now.

Kevin Eberhardt turned himself in to police this morning at about 8 o'clock. Officers say the net was tightening after his picture appeared on the news last night.

Eberhardt surrendered at his mother's house on Lowell Street. It is riddled with bullet holes, but it is not clear whether those shots were fired before Tuesday's shooting or in retaliation afterward. Police won't talk about it.

Eberhardt is accused of attempted murder for shooting two teenagers on Country Club Drive Tuesday afternoon. Both survived.

Eberhardt now finds himself back behind bars just 12 days after his release from prison.

Just more proof of modern slavery. Our society creates the environment where a black person can not succeed except to live in poverty and when the pressure crack them, they are locked up for life. When prejudice is truly done away with and people help others out of love and true compassion, these situations will evolve out of existence. Slavery never ended, it became minimum wage. P.S. I am a old white dude.

Your mentality appalls and disgusts me. I am a black person along with my wife and 2 kids. Our parents came from poverty. Even though their parents were poor, they instilled a good work ethic and values in them. Racism has nothing to do with why this man did what he did. If you are looking to blame someone other than him, look at his parents.

HMA i agree with some of the statements you said but we as parents raise our kids to protect their self and thats if your rich or poor no we don't want them to shoot and kill each other up because white people have been doing that to us forever some kids just go a stray and it has nothing to do with the parents

This young man did make a mistake. The definition of mistake is an error in opinion or judgment which i feel that we ALL should agree that shooting someone just because is a huge error in judgment. So with that being said why don't you feel as strongly when white people make mistakes? I hear often "it was a mistake no one was killed" so when the teen killed people over a mistake he made where is the outrage? this guy luckily didn't kill anybody. Why do people still feel in 2010 that their race makes you superior when there a far to many examples of this being a "mistake" and the examples that people often use to prove their superiority are seen in all races. So do most of you that continually comment about the evil in the next race just want to hate because that is the only cause you have in life? What is your reason for hating people ONLY because their skin is not the same shade as yours? "Infallibility is an absolute security of the understanding from all possibility of mistake"

you prove my point get real. If that car accident had been a black kid you would not have any sympathy for him at all. you people will defend yours to the end. all 'm saying is they both deserve time no sympathy for either of them and you really don't know what that young mans intentions were. he could having been trying to hurt himself and hurt others instead, YOU DON'T KNOW. the point is it is not us that defends ours when they do wrong it is you people and then you point out others as if you all are perfect. if that had been a hispanic kid you all would be talking about immigration and blah blah blah. so my friend YOU GET REAL get your heads out of you know where and wake up and realize that no race is better than the other. That is all...

"Lady Please" - there's quite a bit of difference between these two incidents - in one a stupid kid got smoked up on weed and had a traffic accident. In the other a stupid kid loaded a gun, stuck it in his waistband and went looking for trouble. Both are tragic but one had an intent to do damage when he went out, the other was just being stupid - driving under the influence. Besides, they are both going to end up in court and I'm betting they will both do time, as they should. You can feel a little sympathy for the stupidity of the smoked up kid but JUST getting out of prison and then carrying around a loaded gun and then using it is inexcusable.

HEY ARE YOU KIDDING, GO TAKE A LOOK AT THE STORY ABOUT THE BOY THAT WAS SPEEDING AND KILLED PEOPLE AND LOOK AT ALL OF THE SYMPATHY HE IS GETTING FOR MURDERING PEOPLE WITH HIS VEHICLE AND THEN ASK RAR THAT QUESTION AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! WHITE PEOPLE DON'T SEEM TO GIVE A DAM- WHEN THEY DO SOMETHING WRONG. YOU ALL LIKE TO SAY WE DEFEND BLACK THUGS WHEN WE DON'T. WE DEFEND THE INNOCENT BLACK PEOPLE THAT HAVE TO DEAL WITH IGNORANT WHITES TYPE CASTING US ALL. YOU ALL ARE THE ONES THAT DEFEND YOUR SCUM...ITS CALLED AN INSANITY PLEA BATCH!!!

Racism at it's finest! And let's talk about ignorant! Talking about black people and thugs like you can just round them up and let them kill one another save you some tax dollars. while were at while don't we require white women to have hysterecomies because statistics show they are largest group that receives public assistance. People were shot this could happen anywhere to anyone a bullet doesn't have a name or does it color. Stop the hate!

Hey "rar" - when have you ever seen anyone be ok with a white person murdering people? They just aren't in the newspaper everyday like the young blacks so you don't hear about it as much. The young blacks whipping out a gun and pulling the trigger is getting to be an everyday occurrence in TLH. It needs to stop but nobody can do it, maybe the solution is to let them kill each other off and then we're done with them. The whites have their share of ignorant scum too, they just don't use a gun quite as fast in these phony 'gangsta wars. And as far as having no intention of killing someone - that's a load of horse s%#t, he pulled the gun to harm someone and he did. Facts are facts.
