Around 9:45 this morning, TPD says a white woman in her mid to late 20's robbed the Wells Fargo on Tharpe Street and High Road. TPD says she implied she had a weapon but they don't believe she revealed one. She got away with cash but TPD won't say how much. Witnesses describe her being between 5'3" and 5'4" wearing a green jacket and black pants.
Godby High School decided to lock down after the robbery call was placed. No one was injured during the robbery.
Tallahassee Police were called to 1701 West Tharpe Street this morning at approximately 9:46 a.m. in reference to a robbery.
Once they arrived at the Wells Fargo Bank, officers learned a white female, in her late 20’s, wearing a green jacket, black pants, black boots, and glasses walked into the bank implying she had a weapon and demanded money. She was described as about 5’3- 5’4” tall and was also wearing a mask. The bank employees complied with the suspect’s demands and she was given an undisclosed amount of cash and left the area on foot. There were no injuries during
the incident. TPD’s Criminal Investigation and Forensic Unit responded to take over the
investigation. At this time, the investigators are interviewing witnesses and following
all leads and are attempting to identify this suspect. Community members with
information or who recognize the suspect are asked to call TPD at 891-4200 or the
Big Bend Crime Stoppers at 574-TIPS. Crime Stoppers does not want your name,
just your information and you may be eligible for a cash reward. Please remember, if
