Tallahassee, Florida (Press Release) --
On the evening of September 5, at approximately 10:00PM, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to a residence in the Cypress Cove Neighborhood, in reference to a suspicious incident. The reporting person stated that two unknown black males were ringing the doorbell and just stood outside the residence.
Officers arrived on scene and made contact with two black males loitering in the street. Both subjects were identified as Zachary D’Andre Holmes and Charles Antione Mitchell. During the investigation, officers discovered Mitchell had discarded a loaded firearm into the nearby woods and was in possession a pair of gloves. Holmes was found to be in possession of two large rocks that were located in his pants pocket and a pair of gloves. Both subjects were unable to dispel officers’ suspicion of being involved in possible criminal activity and could not provide a legitimate reason as to why they were in the neighborhood at such a late hour and were arrested for Loitering and Prowling.
