Man Wanted in Greenville Shooting Arrested

Madison County Sheriff's Office (Press Release) -- (September 7, 2010) --

Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on September 4, 2010 at approximately 1:00 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting at the intersections of Obadiah Street and Church Avenue in Greenville, Florida. Deputies arrived to discover a victim lying on the ground bleeding from the right side of his head just above his ear. Emergency Medical Services arrived and transported the victim to Tallahassee memorial.

Deputies on the scene completed the scene processing and obtaining of witness statements that disclosed a black Chevrolet suburban sped up to the intersection, slammed on brakes and started shooting. The shooter was identified as Ramon Cobb, B/M, DOB: 02/04/1979, of Greenville Florida.

Warrants for the arrest of Cobb were obtained and Investigators learned that Cobb had fled to Taylor County Florida. Investigators were able to determine an exact location of Cobb where he was arrested without further incident.

Ramon Cobb was arrested and charged with attempted murder and additional charges are pending.
