Jacksonville, Florida (AP) --

A 24-year-old Jacksonville man is going to federal prison for 20 years in a "sexting" case.

The U.S. Attorneys Office said Anthony William Denham was
sentenced for persuading a girl to use her cell phone to take and
send to him sexually explicit photos of herself. In exchange, he
gave the child prepaid minutes for her phone.

Prosecutors said Denham had contacted the girl through a social
networking site and used one of the photos she sent to create a
fake web page so he could impersonate a young girl online.

A jury had found Denham guilty in May of producing and receiving
child pornography. He was sentenced on September 13. When he gets out of prison, he'll serve probation for the rest of his life.

Murders, rapist, and child molesters should also get 20 years. Instead of crying that's too much, let politicians know it's not enough. Just because he got caught for 'sexting' does not mean he is innocent of child rape, sometimes prosecutors take what they can get.

A little much, your so right if the sentence for sexual predator and offender were as harsh, we wouldnt need the offender database. See how many are within a 5 mile radius from your house. now if they were giving 20 years they would all have the same address. Whats good about it is they might have same someone child from rape in the near future. i think It just should be across the board, he commited a crime with no bodily harm, and got more time than a robber or drug dealer in some cases even a murder.

anyone who has kids knows that there is no such thing as "a little much" or "a little harsh", don't mess with kids.

That sentence seems a little harsh for a "sexting" crime. Pedophiles who actually have forcible intercourse with a child doesn't get that much time. Wow...
