Tallahassee, FL - The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a series of burglaries in the south side neighborhood of Cypress Cove. A total of four burglaries have been reported in the Cypress Cove area since August 17. Another burglary attempt occurred near the Cypress Cove area near the 2200 block of Graphene Lane. The suspect(s) usually enters the homes by forcing a door open or breaking a window. Once inside the thieves are targeting electronic components and other valuables during the burglaries. All of the burglaries occurred during daylight hours.
Residents are taking precautions in the usually quiet neighborhood, including e-mails and a neighborhood watch. Residents are reminded to report suspicious activity to law enforcement immediately. A composite sketch of a possible suspect has been obtained. (Click on the photo icon above to see it)
