Tallahassee, Florida --

On Friday, September 24, 2010 the Leon County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Kangaroo Express at 9160 Woodville Highway in reference to a robbery. The victim told deputies that two subjects armed
with an ax handle entered the store, threatened the clerk and demanded money from the register.

On September 29, 2010, detectives received information from a concerned citizen that indicated Casey B. Martina, 18, was possibly responsible for the robbery. Violent Crimes detectives conducted
interviews and compared forensic evidence. While reviewing surveillance videos, detectives observed an identifying mark on one of the subjects during the robbery. They were later able to confirm the mark during an interview with Robert Tully, a juvenile. Additional interviews have confirmed Martina and Tully were responsible for the robbery. Martina was taken to the Leon County Jail and Tully was taken
to the Juvenile Assessment Center. This investigation is continuing and additional charges are likely.

These kids live in my neighborhood. t's pretty sad to see wasted youth around here. These kids just needed proper guidance and motivation to succeed in life so they wouldn't end up where they are now.

This is a sad situation that not only involves my lil' brothers' life but the life of another young adult. I'm thankful that no one was injured and pray that these young men get the guidence they need. I hope that this is a wake-up call for both of them with Robert on the verge of turning 18!

A legally owned firearm under the counter or on the person of the clerk. Kangaroo Express and its employees tired of being robbed with a deadly weapon. "1 1=0"? Remedy for this "armed robbery" stuff. Pretty quickly. What a novel concept.
